Our 2008-2009 Season
Please Note that this season we are adding a discount performance on Thursday of the public series for each of our productions in NJ.
Reservations for this Thursday performance are REQUIRED and must be made a minimum of two week prior to the performance. These tickets will be $2 per person.
We will require a minimum audience of 10 in order to run these special performances.

Ananse and the Sky God
This
classic Southwestern African folk tale is told with a bit of a twist.
Ananse's wife, Aso, tells the story of how the Trickster Spider, Ananse,
won the right to tell the Great Sky God's stories. The set, mask,
and puppet designs are based on flavors of traditional arts from the Ivory
Coast and other Southwestern African countries that share the Ananse stories.
An original score has been written, and each character has their own music;
in a similar fashion to Peter and the Wolf. This story is told
with Masks, Rod Puppets, and Shadow work. Age appropriate for 5 through adults.

Due to the economic crunch, Renaissance
Artist Puppet Company has had to scale back our Public and Educational series. We hope that the coming year we will be able to expand these series again.
